What a day we had at the Bouddi Coastal Run! With sunny skies above and an impressive crowd of almost 800 runners, Saturday was everything we hoped for to see out the 2024 year of events. Thank you for joining us!
We kicked things off in style with the iconic Bouddi Coastal Run start under the yellow arch right on the sand. The energy was electric as runners charged down Killcare beach ready to take on the trails ahead. Those tough sandy stretches, stair climbs, and beautiful, rugged coastline is what makes this race so special, we hope you enjoyed every moment.
One of our favourite parts of the day is always the Kids Fun Run! Watching that wild 1 km dash up and down the beach – tiny legs flying, sand spraying, and the finish line never looking so cute!
A special shout-out to the amazing volunteers who helped us keep everything and everyone on track with their enthusiasm, direction, and encouragement. To all of our sponsors – thank you for your support: Central Coast Council and The Lakes Festival, Tailwind for fuelling our aid stations, and Tarkine, Beach Retreats and Paddy Paddin for their amazing offers and give-aways.
Now, let’s celebrate our results!
In the 21 km course, Zbynek Hanys claimed first place in the male category, backing up his 2023 record breaking win in the 14 km event. In the female category, Oliwia Burke was first across the line, just ahead of a determined Jo Nevin in second place. Incredible efforts all around!
On the 14 km course, local Grant Brisbin took top honours in the male category, while Rebecca Gibbs led the way in the female category. Congratulations to all of the age category winners and to every single finisher who took on the challenge. Full results are live, check out your results here.
The team from Outer Image were out on course capturing all the action from the day. Head over to their website to check them out.
Thank you once again for being part of the Bouddi Coastal Run. We’re already excited to see what next year brings and hope to see you there for more unforgettable moments
