TIME CUT OFFS
race rules
For reasons of fairness, safety and responsibility you are expected to abide by the following rules. Failure to comply may lead to penalties or disqualification.
The Event Director’s decisions are final.
GENERAL CONDUCT:
- All participants must complete the full, marked course on foot, under their own power.
- Follow all course markings and marshal directions. Shortcuts or deviations may result in disqualification.
- You must follow all directions from staff and course marshals, which may include changes or deviations to the course, or directing you to withdraw from the race for any reason at the discretion of the organiser including safety concerns or if you miss a time cut-off.
- Respect the environment, landowners, local communities, and other trail users.
- Littering is strictly prohibited. Carry all rubbish to the next aid station or carry it with you to the finish and dispose in provided bins.
- Smoking and leaving human waste on the trail are prohibited. Use designated toilets or follow “leave no trace” principles.
- The use of performance-enhancing drugs, recreational drugs or alcohol are strictly prohibited.
- Unsporting behaviour, vandalism, or poor sportsmanship may result in time penalties or disqualification.
RACE NUMBERS & REGISTRATIONS:

- Participants are expected to assist competitors who have injured themselves. If you come across an injured runner, please provide assistance and ask a fellow runner to inform race officials at the next intersection. Times will be adjusted to compensate for any losses.
- If you withdraw from the race for any reason, you must notify event officials at the nearest aid station or phone the number on the back of your race bib. This is an essential requirement to avoid unnecessary searches being conducted and emergency services being engaged.

Participants MUST be able to hear instructions from event staff and marshals at all times and hear other runners who may wish to pass. Event marshals may direct a participant to cease wearing headphones for any reason.
