What a weekend at Bouddi Coastal Run! The trails were buzzing with the energy of almost 800 runners. The blue skies and ocean views only added to the magic.
Big kudos to each and every runner who rocked their course, we’re seriously impressed with how you conquered the heat and owned the challenging conditions. There’s such an awesome camaraderie and real community vibe that kicks in when a bunch of trail runners get together.
We absolutely love diving into the race reports you tag us in on social media! It’s awesome seeing runners shine a spotlight on the incredible encouragement they received from their fellow racers on course. Keep those stories coming – they’re the fuel that keeps our trail-running spirits soaring! Tag us @maxadventureau on Instagram and Facebook.
The Kids 1km Beach Run was a mini tornado of fun, with future trail running superstars earning their well-deserved finisher medals and colouring books thanks to the Environmental Education team at Central Coast Council as they crossed under the finish arch.
It was a fast field this year across all categories. Josef Mcgrath was the first male home on the 21 km course backing up his 2022 win. Monika Ludriks claimed the leading position for the ladies, more than 10 minutes ahead of second and third place.
Zbynek Hanys took the 14 km course by storm and setting a new course record. The ladies’ podium was incredibly close with Rebecca Gibbs securing the top step.
All of the official results are now live HERE .
A BIG thank you to our event sponsors: The Lakes Festival, Central Coast Council, Tailwind Nutrition, Tarkine, and Runners Shop.
And let’s not forget our rockstar volunteers who make this event happen! A little army of volunteers is needed to make an event happen, and we can’t thank them enough for generously giving their time and energy.
The event photos are now live and ready for you to view. Thanks to Outer Image Collective, you can check them out HERE.
We hope to see you all again next year for Bouddi Coastal Run 2024!
